Frequently asked questions

What is the first class promise?

We want your first 1:1 class to feel right for your family.

If it does not feel like a fit after your first class, email class.support@kidsbolo.com within 24 hours and we will refund you in full.

When we refund, we also cancel your subscription, so nothing else renews.

This promise is for 1:1 Urdu classes only.

What if I cannot make a class?

You can reschedule any class in your booking portal up to 12 hours before it starts. Classes missed, or not rescheduled at least 12 hours ahead, cannot be refunded or made up. Recordings are available on request at class.support@kidsbolo.com.

Can I change my weekly times later?

Yes. Change your weekly days and times yourself in your booking portal (link in your booking email), or email class.support@kidsbolo.com. Changes take effect immediately. You can also reschedule a single class up to 12 hours before it starts.

Will we always have the same tutor?

Yes. You choose your tutor when you book and stay with that tutor for every class. To switch, email class.support@kidsbolo.com.

What do I need for class?

Just a device with a camera, microphone and stable internet to join on Vedamo. We provide practice resources, just like our group classes.

Can I cancel?

Yes. You can cancel your subscription anytime in your booking portal, and you will not be billed again. Prepaid classes are not refundable, except under our first class promise. You can still use any classes you have already paid for, or reschedule them to a later date.

Is this right for a complete beginner?

Yes. Our levels start at Foundation. Your first class is an assessment, so your tutor starts you at the right level.

Do you teach adults?

Yes. 1:1 classes are open to ages 5 and up, including adults.

Are classes recorded?

Yes. Recordings are available on request at class.support@kidsbolo.com.

Which script do you use?

Classes are taught in English and Urdu using Roman Urdu (Urdu written in English letters). 1:1 classes do not cover Urdu script.

Can siblings share a class?

No. Each class is for one student, and the price is per student, per class.

What time zone are classes in?

Your local time zone is shown when you book, so please check that it is correct. Classes repeat at the same time each week. For families in the UK, there are a couple of short periods each year (about one to two weeks in March and one week in late October) when the clocks change on different dates in the UK and North America. During those weeks, your class will be one hour earlier in UK time, and it goes back to normal once both clocks have changed.

  • Sofia ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

We absolutely loved our experience. The course was so well structured and well thought out, and they picked things to teach that would actually be digestible and age appropriate. Our 5 year old went into the class with almost no Urdu in daily use, and has picked up so many words and sentences that we are using more and more every day.

  • Shehrose ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

I signed my oldest daughter, 8 years old up for the classes. Her understanding of Urdu has suddenly expanded. She is putting her knowledge of existing words and new words together to figure out sentences! These classes are also not taught in a traditional way which can be a bit boring. It's only taught in conversation and games! I also appreciate the follow up after the class with games and sheets to continue practicing with my daughter!

  • Kiran ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Our kids LOVED the Urdu Class and are practicing their Urdu around the house and with each other! The classes are so organized and well thought out. The at-home activities are fun and a great way to re-inforce what they've learned. The teachers are so sweet and positive (and patient!). I'm so grateful to KidsBolo for creating such an amazing program. 10/10 Recommend. We cant wait for Session 2....and 3, 4, and beyond! :)

  • Junaid ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Instead of looking at it as "class", our daughter thoroughly enjoyed attending the sessions and participating with other students.  As most of us living here abroad and as someone who grew up mostly overseas we speak a mix of English and Urdu at home, and trying to teach our kids Urdu has always felt a daunting task.  We are so happy we discovered Kids Bolo.  Our daughter has learned a tremendous amount over a short period of time; her vocabulary has increased significantly and more importantly her confidence about communicating with us in Urdu has gone up exponentially.  We look forward to continuing our lessons.
