Urdu Classes for Kids in Houston

Families from Houston, Sugar Land, Richmond and Katy join our live online Urdu classes from home. No commute and no waiting around. Your child logs in, sees a friendly teacher and a few kids their own age, and starts talking.

Our classes are made for children growing up with English as their main language. Lessons are playful and visual, with games and picture slides, and they are written in Roman Urdu so your child can start speaking before tackling the Urdu script.

Greater Houston is huge, and a drive from Cypress or Pearland to the other side of town can swallow a whole evening. Online classes skip that drive completely, and our class pages list times that suit families on Central time.

Why Houston area families choose Kids Bolo

  • Learning that feels like play. Classes use games like Pictionary, Jeopardy and Spin the Wheel, so kids look forward to logging in.
  • Central time friendly. Our class pages list times that work for families on Central time, so classes fit around school and activities.
  • Tiny groups. Just 3 to 5 children per class, grouped by age, so nobody gets lost in the crowd.
  • From home, wherever you are. Sugar Land, Richmond, Katy or Houston itself, all your child needs is a laptop or tablet.
  • Teachers who get bilingual kids. Our native Urdu speaking teachers understand children who mostly speak English, and they meet them where they are.

Houston parents often ask

Are your Houston classes in person?

No. Our classes are virtual: live and online, with a real teacher and a small group. Your child joins from home on a laptop or tablet.

Are there class times that work on Central time?

Yes. Every class page lists the times on offer, including times that suit families on Central time. Schedules can change from term to term, so check the class page for the latest.

We live in Sugar Land (or Katy, or Richmond). Can we join?

Of course. All our classes are live online, so families can join from anywhere in the Houston area, from The Woodlands down to Pearland and Missouri City.

Does my child need to know any Urdu already?

No. Starting from scratch is completely fine. Lessons begin in English and Urdu together and use Roman Urdu, so your child can speak from the first class.

Which age groups do you have?

Play-based sessions for ages 2.5 to 4.5, conversational classes for ages 5 to 7, 8 to 10 and 11 to 13, script classes for ages 13 and up, and adult classes for ages 16 and up.

What does it cost?

Classes are a monthly subscription, and each class page shows the price. You can cancel any time with 2 weeks' notice before the 1st of the month.

Where are the teachers based?

Our teachers are native Urdu speakers based in the US, the UK and Canada, and they specialise in teaching children who are growing up speaking English.
