Urdu Classes for Kids in the San Francisco Bay Area

Families from San Ramon, Fremont, Danville, San Jose and San Francisco join Kids Bolo's live online Urdu classes. For busy Bay Area households, an online class means no commute, and your child still gets a real teacher and real classmates.

Our lessons are designed for children who are growing up with English. They start bilingual, use picture slides and games, and write Urdu in English letters (Roman Urdu), so kids can speak right away and add the Urdu script later if they want to.

Bay Area weekdays already involve plenty of time on 680, 880 or 101 between school and activities. Online class takes one drive off the list, whether you are in the East Bay, the South Bay or on the Peninsula.

  • Online, so it fits the week. No commute between activities. Your child joins from home.
  • Small groups, real turns. Only 3 to 5 children per class, grouped by age.

Do you offer class times on Pacific time?

Yes. Each class page lists the class times on offer, including times that suit families on Pacific time. Times may change between terms, so check the class page for the latest.

We are in the South Bay. Can we join too?

Yes. Classes are online, so families in San Jose, Santa Clara, Milpitas, Sunnyvale or anywhere else around the Bay join the same way.

Is Roman Urdu enough, or will my child learn the script?

Our conversational classes use Roman Urdu so children can speak first. From age 13, our Urdu script classes teach reading and writing.

Yes. Lessons start in a mix of English and Urdu, so no previous Urdu is needed.

How much do classes cost?

Classes are a monthly subscription. The price appears on each class page, and you can cancel with 2 weeks' notice before the 1st of the month.

What do we need?

A laptop or tablet with a camera, a reliable connection and a quiet place to sit.

Who are the teachers?

Our teachers are native Urdu speakers based in the US, the UK and Canada who know how to teach kids raised in English.
