How do Kids Bolo's online Urdu classes work?

Kids Bolo has developed a curriculum specifically for learning Urdu as a Second Language.

We offer online Urdu classes for children, online Urdu classes for adults and a self-paced Urdu learning course for ages 16+.

Our classes follow a level based curriculum, with 20-24 lessons in each level. Students meet twice a week for 30–45 minutes in a live online classroom (1x per week for adults).

Play-based classes for children under 5 do not follow a level based curriculum and run for 20 minutes per class, once per week.

Lessons include interactive slides, stories, and games to keep kids engaged while building real-life communication skills in Urdu.

Are these Urdu lessons suitable for adults as well as kids?

Yes. We offer separate curriculums for each age group — ages 5–6, 7–9, 10–12, and adults (16+). This means every learner gets lessons designed specifically for their stage of life, interests, and pace of learning. Adults enjoy practical, everyday vocabulary and cultural context, while kids benefit from interactive activities and games that make learning fun. All lessons are taught in Roman Urdu (Urdu written in English letters), so you can start speaking right away without needing to learn the script.

Can my child start without knowing any Urdu?

Absolutely! Most of our students start with no Urdu at all. We begin with simple words and a blended English + Urdu approach using Roman Urdu to help children feel comfortable and confident from day one.

How long is each Kids Bolo Urdu class and what is the schedule like?

The length of classes depends on the age and number of students.

Ages 2.5 - 4.5 - classes are 20 minutes long
Ages 5 - 12 - classes are 30-45 minutes depending on class size
Adults - classes are 60 minutes long

Can siblings or family members join the same online class?

Siblings close in age and skill level can often join the same group class, making it easier for families to learn together. We highly recommend children join on separate devices from different rooms to minimize disruption and enhance independent learning.
